ROCKFORD, IL — Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for two more in connection with a nearly 16-year-old homicide.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 10, 2010 Rockford Police Department officers responded to a local hospital for a shooting victim. The victim identified as Antoine “Tallman” Williams ultimately succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
Police said he was shot while in the 200 block of Regan Street.
Over the years, Rockford police detectives continued to investigate and say they identified three suspects in the killing.
Winnebago County prosecutors have authorized first-degree murder charges in connection with the shooting against Derrick Bradley, 41, of Rockford; Quantell Trotter, 33, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Taj Newton, 36, of Batavia.
Bradley is lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. Trotter and Newton are not in custody.
Police said there could be additional charges and arrests as the investigation continues.
