Preseason power rankings for high school football in the Peoria area

The Journal Star high school football power rankings are back for 2026.

This is the first of weekly rankings for local high school football teams, including schools from Peoria, the Mid-Illini Conference and smaller schools in the Tri-County area. Look for nine more editions of the rankings during the regular season.
