PEORIA — The Peoria Chamber of Commerce honored Dr. James McGee of OSF Healthcare for his service to community and volunteer leadership, giving him the 2025 Tom Connor Service award at this year’s annual Thanksgiving luncheon.
“Dr. McGee’s leadership at OSF and his commitment to Peoria exemplify the spirit of the Tom Conner Service award,” chamber president Jessica Linder-Gallo said. “We are thrilled to honor his lifesaving work and innovation.”
The award is named for long-time WEEK-TV broadcaster and dedicated community volunteer Tom Connor. It is presented to a Peoria-area individual who has shown outstanding long-term commitment to the community. Nominees are judged by length of service, plus participation and contribution to the community.

“We thank you for all your support and the recognition you’ve given me,” McGee told the audience. “But the recognition to me is really just recognizing the people at OSF, the people in the corporate office, and the people in the hospitals who are doing all the work day-to-day.”
Other nominees for the award were Todd Baker of Advanced Medical Transport, Edward Barry of The Farnsworth Group, former Peoria County Sheriff Michael McCoy, and Ronald Tyler of Family Core Outreach.
