PEORIA — A developer is lobbying the city for a redevelopment deal on a multimillion-dollar project in the Warehouse District.
Bill Sullivan plans to construct a mixed-use office and residential development at 906 to 910 Southwest Washington St. He wants to strike a tax-increment financing deal with the city, and the matter is scheduled to go before the Peoria City Council on Tuesday.
Sullivan plants to turn the buildings on Southwest Washington Street into a property with eight, loft-style residential units featuring a fitness center, outside patio, sauna and bike storage.
The development, which would feature first-floor retail space, is projected to cost about $5.5 million and add yet more living options to an area of the city that has grown swiftly this decade.
“The concept blends historic warehouse character with modern finishes to create a high-quality urban living and retail destination that contributes to the continued growth of the Warehouse District,” according to the redevelopment plans submitted to the city.
