PEORIA HEIGHTS – Denise Baker’s dream of opening a wine bar fully came to life on Sunday, July 19 – when Rosie’s Wine Bar welcomed the community for its official opening.
The moment followed several soft openings beginning earlier in the month. In a Facebook post just ahead of its full opening, Baker and her husband, Todd, thanked friends, family, staff and patrons for their support leading up to that point – noting that they felt “humbled and overwhelmed by the love this community has shown us.”
Later, the post continued: “Here’s to beautiful conversations, unforgettable evenings, countless celebrations, and a lifetime of memories made within these walls.
“Welcome home.”
Here’s what to know about Rosie’s Wine Bar.
Where is Rosie’s Wine Bar?
Rosie’s Wine Bar is situated at 4615 N. Prospect Road, Suite South A, in Peoria Heights.
A sign is situated on the front of the building along North Prospect Road. The wine bar, however, is situated in a unit just behind Artemis Esthetics & Wellness, on the side closest to the parking lot.
When is Rosie’s Wine Bar open?
Hours of operation are from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.
The wine bar is closed on Tuesdays.
Wine club at Rosie’s
For wine enthusiasts, the business offers a three-tier wine club.
The first level, called “the sipper” includes two bottles of wine each quarter, a free wine tasting each month, the ability to make reservations, various discounts and more for $59 quarterly.
The mid-level club membership runs $99 per quarter and features three bottles of wine each quarter, alongside other perks.
At $129 quarterly, “the Connoisseur” features three bottles of wine per quarter – with the third upgraded to a “top-shelf curated” bottle – and other benefits.

What’s on the menu?
The husband-and-wife team told the Journal Star they expected to serve 50 by-the-glass wines at Rosie’s, along with craft cocktails, drinks on draft and non-alcoholic options.
For food, visitors will find a selection of small plates, sweet treats, flatbreads and more. The menu features items including:
“Our hope has never been simply to serve wine,” Rosie’s Wine Bar noted on Facebook ahead of its full opening. “We hope to create a place where people gather, celebrate life’s milestones, find comfort after difficult days, make new friends, reconnect with old ones, laugh a little louder, linger a little longer, and leave feeling like they belong.”
