Here are the Springfield area's 2026 state qualifiers for girls track

Here are the girls track and field state qualifiers from the Springfield area.  

From each sectional, the top two placers and qualifying performances advance to the state meet at O’Brien Field in Charleston beginning Thursday, May 21 through Saturday, May 23.

Class 3A 

O’Fallon Sectional 

200-meter dash: Iye Adaramola, sophomore, Chatham Glenwood (25.07) 

800-meter run: Sophie Rentmeister, junior, Chatham Glenwood (2:14.31) 

1600: Ali Londrigan, junior, Chatham Glenwood (5:05.27); Rentmeister, Chatham Glenwood (5:10.10) 

3200: Londrigan, Chatham Glenwood (11:00.33) 

4×200-meter relay: Chatham Glenwood (Audri Brown, Layne Matthew, Natalie Fair, Iye Adaramola) 1:43.35 

What to know: Chatham Glenwood’s Ali Londrigan swept the 1600- and 3200-meter runs. Fellow long-distance runner Sophie Rentmeister won the 800 by .35 seconds, while also qualifying in the 1600 where she took third place. Londrigan took fourth in the 1600 and fifth in the 3200 at last year’s 3A state finals.

Pole vault: Ella Brawner, freshman, Gillespie (10-7); Asher Ronan, junior, North Mac (9-1) 

Long jump: Lydia Collins, freshman, Hillsboro (16-2 ½) 

Triple jump: Amya Greenwood, junior, Hillsboro (32-8) 

What to know: Litchfield claimed the team sectional title. Freshman sprinter Lana Cress won four events in the 100, 200, 4×100 and 4×200. Gillespie’s Ella Brawner quashed the pole vault qualifying standard of 9-1. 

Shelbyville Sectional 

Discus throw: Reagan McGlauchlen, senior, Pana (134-1 ¾); Phoenix Pope, junior, Pana (113- ½) 

Long jump: Camryn Engelman, senior, Nokomis (16-8 ¾) 

Triple jump: Engelman, Nokomis (33-11) 

What to know: Pana’s Reagan McGlauchlen won the discus throw with a personal best. She reached as high as fourth place in the 2024 state finals with a distance of 126-11. 

Maroa-Forsyth Sectional

Tremont Sectional
