PEORIA HEIGHTS – Ardor Hospitality has opened three concepts along North Prospect Road in under four months.
Sloane Supper & Social welcomed the community in April, The Fitz came to fruition in mid-June, and now, customers can stop by Bodega by Ardor.
The newest addition to Ardor Hospitality opened on Wednesday, July 22, according to owner Cody Scogin. The space blends a cozy grocery with a casual deli.
“Right out of the gate, it’s just been awesome to see…” Scogin said of the community’s response. “I feel like it’s a concept that we thought would be great for the community and it seems that they’re very excited to have this option.”

Where is Bodega by Ardor?
The space is situated at 4500 N. Prospect Road, Suite 102 in Peoria Heights – which is on the first floor next to Sloane Supper & Social.
When is Bodega by Ardor open?
Hours of operation are currently from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
‘For anyone and everyone’
The deli menu features around 10 sandwiches, with customers also able to craft their own creation.
“We’ve seen some pretty unique creations already,” Scogin said. “So, it’s very like modifiable… It’s kind of for anyone and everyone.”
Aside from customer creations, Scogin said the bodega serves sandwiches such as:
Prices range from $18 to $19 online.
The aim, he said, is to offer a high-quality meal at an affordable price. As such, sandwiches are made to order.
Customers can order to go or dine in at a communal table, bar seating along the window or outside on the patio. Moving forward, Scogin expects to add online ordering and delivery, as well.
‘Take a bit of Ardor Hospitality home with you’
Aside from the selection of sandwiches, Bodega by Ardor features products to cook or enjoy at home. Scogin said the selection includes pasta with ragout, fresh-made bread, cheese, meats, tinned fish, wines and more.
“I really like the idea of someone coming and picking up a picnic basket and then going over to Grand View Drive and having a nice experience with, you know, some sandwiches or bread and cheese and a bottle of wine and some tinned fish,” he said. “Like, it could be really special.”
Ultimately, he said the goal with the grocery aspect was “to create a place where you can take a bit of Ardor Hospitality home with you.”
