Bears vs. Packers highlights: Chicago loses a close game

The Chicago Bears (9-3) will face off against the Green Bay Packers (8-3-1), where Chicago is looking to continue their hot streak in a massive NFC North showdown with first place on the line.

The Bears are coming off a statement win against the Philadelphia Eagles, where they dominated the trenches to the tune of 281 rushing yards and kept Philadelphia’s offense out of rhythm while forcing two turnovers on defense. Chicago has won nine of its last 10 games, including five straight.

Now, the Bears will face their most difficult challenge yet as they battle the Packers, which will determine the current leader of the NFC North and have serious playoff implications. Chicago was one blocked field goal away from sweeping Green Bay last season, and they’ll be looking to win their second straight over the Packers for the first time since 2007. Can Chicago once again record a statement win?

Packers pick off Caleb Williams to clinch the game

With the Bears knocking on the door step of a possible tie game, Caleb Williams would throw a game-ending interception that ended Chicago’s comeback hopes. The Packers now overtake Chicago in first place in the NFC North standings.

Josh Jacobs gives Packers late lead

SCORE: Packers 28, Bears 21

Green Bay moved the ball down the field after the Bears tied the game, and leaned on running back Josh Jacobs to get them a lead. Jacobs scored on a two-yard run to take back the lead in what has been an entertaining back-and-forth late in the fourth quarter.

Bears tie game up with Caleb Williams TD to Colston Loveland

Chicago got back into the game with a long and exhausting drive on the Packers defense, capped off with a Caleb Williams touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland. After being held down the entire first half, Chicago would tie the game up with half of the fourth quarter left to go.

Jordan Love throws third TD, second to Christian Watson

SCORE: Packers 21, Bears 14

The Packers would get back ahead after Chicago’s second-half score, with Jordan Love throwing his third touchdown pass of the game. Christian Watson would get his second touchdown of the game after going untouched in a busted man coverage play.

Caleb Williams delivers incredible pass TD to pull Bears closer

SCORE: Packers 14, Bears 11

Looking to respond after shutting down the Packers on their first offensive drive, the Bears drove down the field and got themselves back into the game. Quarterback Caleb Williams found Olamide Zaccheaus with a fantastic pass that got through the defense for a touchdown. Chicago would then get the two-point conversion on a Kyle Monangai rush and they were right back in the game.

Blown defense gets Packers their second TD in first half

SCORE: Packers 14, Bears 3

A missed assignment by the Bears secondary got Green Bay their second touchdown of the game, with Jordan Love finding Bo Melton for a 45-yard touchdown reception. Green Bay has been in full control through the first half and now the Packers will get the ball to begin the second half.

Bears get on board with Cairo Santos FG

Chicago responded to the Packers touchdown by getting three points of their own thanks to chippy play on the field between the two bitter rivals.

Christian Watson TD catch gives Packers lead

SCORE: Packers 7, Bears 0

The Bears were unable to capitalize on their takeaway from their defense, and then the Packers put together a methodical drive to take the lead. Jordan Love found wide receiver Christian Watson for a 23-yard touchdown reception.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson picks off Jordan Love

While the offense went three-and-out on their first drive, the Bears defense came back in a big way, getting an interception off of Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Kyler Gordon injured during pre-game warmups

Just as the Bears defense thought they were getting healthier, they once again lost star cornerback Kyler Gordon. Battling through a groin injury all season, Gordon aggravated the injury and was ruled out for the game.
