Chicago Bears training camp is in full swing ahead of the 2026 regular season. Under second-year head coach Ben Johnson, the Bears are looking to build on their success from last year and keep pace in a crowded NFC with important meetings and practices at Halas Hall.
On Tuesday, the Bears got back to work and took the field once again in pads, only this time they practiced in front of full stands with fans present. And this practice featured some fireworks with highlight catches, big hits, and even a skirmish that broke out.
Following every Bears training camp practice, we at Bears Wire will highlight the top players who stood out on the field. Here are the players who stood out on Day 6 of practice:
1. WR Luther Burden
Luther Burden continues to shine during training camp. One of the most-hyped receivers coming into the 2026 season, Burden once again showed why so many experts, analysts, and even his own coaches are high on him. Nicholas Moreano observed Burden make a one-handed grab during 11-on-11s with cornerback Jaylon Jones in coverage on a bullet from quarterback Caleb Williams. Burden also was heavily involved during the hurry-up offense, according to 104.3 The Score’s Chris Emma, though his final play was a drop thanks to a big hit by linebacker Devin Bush. Even with the blemish, it was a solid day for No. 10.
2. DE Dayo Odeyingbo
Maybe the jokes and memes about Dayo Odeyingbo’s motivation have some truth to them. Odeyingbo has worked hard to get right for training camp following his torn Achilles he suffered last November and made his best play of camp yet on Tuesday. Bear Report’s Zack Pearson saw Odeyingbo nab an interception off quarterback Tyson Bagent. Odeyingbo has been playing inside as of late and took advantage of a batted ball to come away with a pick. Playing inside may be the best option for Odeyingbo as he works to make an impact in Year 2 of his tenure with the Bears.
3. LB Devin Bush
We already mentioned Bush’s name for his big hit on Burden near the end of practice but the linebacker was showing out before that, too. X user @RomeOdunzeSzn captured a pass breakup by Bush where he followed Williams scrambling to get in front of a ball thrown Burden’s way. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune also observed Bush chasing down Williams in the pocket, making life stressful for the young signal caller. Biggs saw Bush get after the quarterback multiple times, something that isn’t easy for traditional linebackers to do against Williams.
