25-year-old man dies in Rockford motorcycle crash

ROCKFORD, IL — Authorities have identified the 25-year-old man killed in a May 16 motorcycle crash as Angus Maceachron of Rockford.

Rockford Police Department officers were called about 6:15 p.m. to the area of Auburn Street and Harlem Boulevard where a motorcycle and pickup truck had collided.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the crash site after the accident.

Maceachron was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m.

Preliminary autopsy results show he died from traumatic injuries suffered in the crash, according to information from the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office.

No charges have been announced.
