Can anyone cool down Matt Fitzpatrick? He and his brother Alex sit atop the leaderboard coming into today’s final round of the 2026 Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Matt Fitzpatrick won last week’s RBC Heritage as well as the Valspar Championship a month ago. Before that, the Englishman came in second at The Players Championship. The Fitzpatrick brothers hold a four-stroke lead after Round 3 at TPC Louisiana, and their 30-under score would tie the tournament record
The pairs of Davis Thompson-Austin Eckroat and Alex Smalley-Hayden Springer are the closest to them at 26 under, while Doug Ghim and Jeffrey Kang five shots back. The Swedish team of Kristoffer Reitan and Kris Ventura could make a run if the leaders slip up, as could Billy Horschel and Tom Hoge.
