Wyndham Clark continues meteoric rise up PGA Tour FedEx Cup points list

Wyndham Clark missed the cut at the PGA Championship on May 14 and was buried deep on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup points list at 82nd place.

No one’s played better in the last four weeks.

Clark’s victory on June 21 in the U.S. Open at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club gave him two during that span, along with the CJ Cup Byron Nelson the week after he missed the PGA cut. Clark also recorded a solo third at The Memorial and a tie for 11th at the RBC Canadian Open and has amassed 1,663 FedEx Cup points, 87 percent of his season’s total of 1,911.

Clark is now fourth on the points list, jumping 18 spots from last week. If he plays in this week’s Travelers and wins the 700 FedEx Cup points available in a signature event, he can potentially climb another step over No. 3 Cameron Young.

Scottie Scheffler used a tie for fourth in the U.S. Open to regain first place, the fourth time this season that he’s fallen off the pace, then gotten back on top. He leads Matt Fitzpatrick by 241 points,
