Workshop in Lakeland will offer health and wealth planning for LGBTQ-plus residents

Aging Well with Pride, a health and wealth workshop for the LGBTQ-plus community age 40 and older, will be held June 18 at the Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art in Lakeland.

The event, sponsored by the Tessier Law Firm, P.A., will feature a panel discussing such topics as maintaining your brain: LGBTQ-plus aging and mental health; navigating healthcare with confidence; housing and long-term care for LGBTQ-plus adults; legal, estate and wealth planning; and empowerment, connection and joy.

The panel will include LGBTQ-plus health advocates, estate planning attorneys, financial advisers, aging experts and community leaders.

The schedule is open gallery for happy hour, with music, cash bar and charcuterie, 5 to 6 p.m.; and panel discussion, 6 to 8 p.m. Admission is free with limited seating available. RSVP to info@tessierlawfirm.com or 863-220-7927.
