It’s hard to ask for much better weather at the 2026 Masters. That’s a huge relief in light of recent rain-plagued golf tournaments at Augusta National.

Inclement weather came into play each year from 2019 to 2024 before last year’s event went without a hitch, giving Rory McIlroy a sunny day in which to finally win his first green jacket. He’s in good position to play for his second straight title after ending the first round tied for the lead.

If he does, McIlroy could be considered a good omen for prime golf weather. AccuWeather forecasts the temperature won’t rise above 85 degrees through the weekend. An already low rain outlook went even lower, with the slight chance of rain during Sunday’s final round dropping from 14% to about 5%. Expect the greens to keep running fast throughout the 90th Masters.
