Who’s up for a little teamwork? The PGA Tour heads down to New Orleans for its only team event on the calendar at the 2026 Zurich Classic.
Here’s how it works: Instead of 148 players competing against each other for the grand prize, they’ll be in 74 pairs with one two-man team walking away with the trophy come Sunday. Groups will start off with a four-ball format in Round 1, meaning teammates will alternate shots on each hole. For Round 2, they’ll play foursomes with each golfer playing out the hole and the team counting whichever player has the best score on each hole. Then after Friday’s cut, the process will repeat for Rounds 3 and 4.
Fresh off a win in last week’s RBC Heritage, Matt Fitzpatrick enters as one of the favorites alongside his brother Alex. Ben Griffin is the only other player in the top-20 of the World Golf Rankings; he and Andrew Novak will look to repeat as champions at TPC Louisiana. Shane Lowry has won before too, but this time he’ll be paired with Brooks Koepka rather than Masters champ Rory McIlroy.
