What's next in Palm Beach Gardens as beloved Italian restaurant closes

After years as a reliable neighborhood fixture, Prezzo in Palm Beach Gardens is preparing to end its run and make way for something new.

The restaurant at 4520 PGA Blvd. will serve its final meals June 30 before shutting down for a full transformation into Eddie & Vinny’s Coastal Italian, a concept led by restaurateurs Eddie and Christina Pozzuoli.

The space, about a mile west of Interstate 95 on the south side of PGA Boulevard, has quietly been a constant for longtime patrons.

Why folks love Prezzo

One of those patrons is former Palm Beach Post sports writer Craig Dolch, who said that during a recent visit he was told the restaurant will close at the end of the month and remain shut for several months during the renovation.

He also noted the property’s earlier life as Vic & Angelo’s, another Italian concept that once drew steady crowds to the same address and closed in 2019.

For Palm Beach Gardens residents, the news is likely to land with mixed emotions.

Prezzo has long been part of the local dining routine, the kind of place where birthdays, weeknight dinners and last-minute reservations all coexisted. Ownership acknowledged that legacy, describing it as a backdrop for “countless memories” over the years.

Fans have the rest of June to return for one more meal before the doors close.

What about my gift card?

In its place, Eddie & Vinny’s is being positioned as a reimagined experience rather than a simple rebrand. The concept debuted in Coral Springs, where it quickly gained traction with a more polished, high-energy take on Italian dining.

Rooted in coastal Italian cuisine, the restaurant centers its menu on fresh seafood, premium steaks and housemade pastas, paired with a full cocktail program and a design-forward dining room. The overall approach blends traditional dishes with a more social, nightlife-driven atmosphere aimed at keeping diners lingering well past dinner.

That shift is intentional. The Coral Springs location leans into a lively setting, with live entertainment, a busy bar scene and features like a wine locker membership program designed to build a base of regulars. The Palm Beach Gardens outpost is expected to follow the same model.

P Hospitality Management’s other restaurants include Boca Raton’s Corvina and another Prezzo. Existing gift cards from the Palm Beach Gardens location will remain valid when the new concept opens.

Goodbye Prezzo, hello Eddie & Vinny’s

No official opening date has been announced, though the transformation is expected to begin shortly after the restaurant closes.

The shift comes as Palm Beach Gardens continues to attract a wave of high-end, nightlife-leaning dining concepts built around steaks, seafood and late-night energy.

Within that mix, Eddie & Vinny’s will need to establish a clear identity — not just in its menu and atmosphere, but also in its name.

That may prove to be part of the challenge.

Darden Restaurants’ similarly named national brand, Eddie V’s, recently opened nearby at Legacy Place, offering its own take on steak-and-seafood dining with live music and a glossy, upscale edge.

Whether the resemblance causes confusion or simply sparks curiosity remains to be seen. Regarding the similar names, the restaurant’s representative said he has no reports of that being an issue.

Either way, a familiar address on PGA Boulevard is entering its next chapter, one that longtime patrons may recognize even as the name on the door changes again.
