The Miami Dolphins have 10 picks to make throughout the seven rounds of the 2026 NFL draft, which is the second-most of any team in the league, behind the host city’s Pittsburgh Steelers, who have 12 selections.
With the draft starting on Thursday, the Dolphins have two picks in the first round, and with the amount of time changing between each pick on Day 1 from 10 minutes to eight minutes, Miami will be on the clock quicker than usual.
Last year, the San Francisco 49ers held pick No. 11 and took Georgia defensive end Mykel Williams. That pick came in at 9:23 p.m. ET. The year prior, the New York Jets took offensive tackle Olu Fashanu with pick No. 11 at 9:24 p.m. ET.
Adjusting for the two-minute reduction per pick, the Dolphins should make their pick around 9:00 p.m.
In 2025, the Buffalo Bills used pick No. 30 on cornerback Maxwell Hairston at 11:29 p.m. ET. The year before, the Baltimore Ravens took cornerback Nate Wiggins with pick No. 30 overall at 11:36 p.m. ET.
Adjusting for the difference here, the Dolphins, if they stay at No. 30, will likely make that pick around 10:30 p.m. ET.
It would be smart for fans to be watching throughout the entire first round because the Dolphins have so many pressing needs that they could make trades and move around the first round.
