The Miami Dolphins have a new regime in place and a whole host of picks in this weekend’s NFL draft to think about. With close to a dozen choices ahead of them, the Dolphins are hoping to add the pieces needed to shake off the past few seasons of disappointment.
Running back De’Von Achane is the only star of the offense returning from a unit that went from first in the league in 2023 to 26th in 2025. Malik Willis will have the chance to prove he’s worthy of a starting job, but who will he throw to after the release of Tyreek Hill and trade of Jaylen Waddle? Several mock drafts have new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan targeting a receiver with one of his two first-round draft picks.
But wideout is far from Miami’s only need. In addition to the offensive line, new coach Jeff Hafley is looking for both starters and reinforcements just about everywhere on defense. Once again, the primary concern lies in the secondary, and the Dolphins are a favorite to land standout LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane. If Ohio State safety Caleb Downs is still around, would Miami pull the trigger?
