A 26-year-old woman was injured July 23 when she was struck by a car at a busy intersection in Palm Beach, a police spokesperson said.
The woman was crossing the intersection of Cocoanut Row and Royal Poinciana Way when she was hit at approximately 1:05 p.m., Palm Beach Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Ogrodnick told the Daily News.
She was taken to a local hospital by Palm Beach Fire Rescue and was last seen sitting up and speaking with hospital personnel, Ogrodnick said. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
Palm Beach Police are investigating the accident, Ogrodnick said.
The crash shut down the westbound lanes of the Flagler Memorial Bridge for about an hour.
Those lanes reopened to traffic at about 2 p.m., the town said in a release.
The Flagler Memorial Bridge is the furthest north of the three bridges that link West Palm Beach and Palm Beach.
