FSU Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell spoke on Wednesday for the first time after Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford issued a statement supporting Norvell but promising a “comprehensive assessment of the football program” at the end of the season.
While FSU’s fans have lost confidence in Norvell and the team during their four-game losing streak. Norvell acknowledged the results have not been good enough, but made it clear that he is still confident that they can turn the season around.

“I do believe in the talent on this team,” he said. “I think we’ve shown that. I believe in the coaches on this team. I think that they’ve proven the talent and ability that they have throughout their coaching career, and I absolutely believe in myself. I’ve been through hard, challenging times. The results are not where anybody wants them to be but I do feel and I do believe that this team will rise up and overcome, and we’ll break through the stretch that we’re on.”
Norvell also talked about the statement from Alford, the leadership among players, and more. Watch his full interview below.
