Vote in our latest TCPalm’s Girls Athlete of the Week poll

Vote early and often for the TCPalm’s Girls Athlete of the Week!

This week’s poll is open until noon Thursday.

Each winner will be awarded a one-of-a-kind Athlete of the Week shirt provided by BSN SPORTS. Winners will be contacted weekly.

Nominees are accepted via email or phone, but will be selected by staff in the absence of submission.

TCPalm Girls Athlete of the Week – April 6-11

Tennis: Adilyn Beal, Vero Beach – The junior captured a 4-0, 4-0 victory at first singles during Vero’s victory over Harmony. 

Track and Field: Emerson Brinn, South Fork – The senior was victorious in two events and nabbed a pair of second-place finishes to help the Bulldogs win at the Lincoln Knowles Memorial. She won the 2,000-meter steeplechase and was part of the team’s wins at the 3,200-meter relay.

Tennis: Kate Ensor, South Fork – The junior picked up wins at first singles and doubles during the Bulldogs’ victory over Martin County. 

Softball: Gabrielle Espich, Sebastian River – The senior fired a complete-game shutout against St. Lucie West Centennial, allowing three hits and no walks with three strikeouts. She also hit a double and drove in the game’s only run. 

Flag Football: Kailee Grone, Fort Pierce Central – Through a pair of Cobras wins, the sophomore went 30-for-49 passing for 357 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions. She also carried the ball 10 times for 82 yards and two scores. Defensively, Grone had two interceptions and four flag pulls.

Softball: Cali Mendenhall, Jensen Beach – The junior went 2-for-2 with two walks, two stolen bases and a run scored during the Falcons’ 3-2 over South Fork. 

Track and Field: Taylor-Nicole Overton, Vero Beach – The junior was victorious in two events to help Vero place second at its own Last Chance Meet. She won the 200 and was part of the team’s win at the 400 relay.

Flag Football: Natalie Tobiasz, Jensen Beach – The senior completed 18 of her 26 passes for 124 yards, three touchdowns and one interception during the team’s win over Sebring. She also had nine carries for 62 yards and another score.
