The University of North Florida softball team is heading to Columbia, S.C., for its first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.
The Ospreys, who won the ASUN Championship on May 10 with a 5-4 victory over Eastern Kentucky, will play in a regional at the University of South Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field May 16-18. UNF (45-13) is the No. 3 seed and will play No. 2 Virginia (37-17) on May 16 at 3 p.m.
South Carolina (40-15), the overall No. 8 national seed, will play No. 4 Elon (33-19) at 5:30 p.m.
The winners play on May 17 at 1 p.m. The losers face off in the first elimination game at 3:30 p.m. the same day.
