Known for its fresh-never-frozen burgers, crinkle fries, and signature hand-spun shakes, a celebrated New York City-based fast-casual restaurant chain is ready to unveil its second Northeast Florida restaurant.
Shake Shack opens Sept. 24 at 3956 3rd St. S. at South Beach Regional retail center in Jacksonville Beach.
The opening comes a year after the fast-casual restaurant chain debuted at 10281 Midtown Parkway in St. Johns Town Center, taking over the space vacated by M Shack in March 2024 when its lease expired after 10 years.
The newest Shake Shack joins other restaurants, including Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders and Bagels R Us, as well as Classic Cakes, a custom wedding cake shop at Regency Centers-owned South Beach Regional.
On the Shake Shack menu
Made from a blend of 100% Angus beef, Shake Shack’s burgers are made to order with a quarter-pound beef patty.
Among customer favorites are:
Shake Shake also offers chicken sandwiches ranging from $7.99 to $10.99, depending on toppings, as well as chicken bites for $5.99 up to $7.99, depending on the order size. Hot dogs from $4.49 to $7.49, depending on the toppings, are also offered, the online menu shows.
Sides include a variety of crinkle-cut French fries and onion rings. Hand-spun milk shakes, frozen custard, and other beverages are available, too.
The roughly 3,200-square-foot Jacksonville Beach restaurant, which has an outside covered patio, is licensed for up to 149 seats.
Both the Jacksonville Beach and St. Johns Town Center restaurants are situated in end-cap storefronts. Neither have drive-thrus.
Shake Shack expanding footprint
Founded in July 2004, Shake Shack has 22 Florida restaurants, including the Jacksonville Beach and Town Center locations, its website shows.
Overall, Shake Shack has more than 625 locations worldwide, including at least 400 nationwide throughout 34 states and the District of Columbia. In addition, the company has 225 international locations, Shake Shack officials said Sept. 19 when unveiling plans for its first Hawaiian location.
The Jacksonville Beach restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
