Region 4-5A quarterfinals

No. 3 Jensen Beach (13-6-1) 3, No. 6 North Miami (10-9-5) 2 (2OT): Receiving a cross from Elmer Chen, senior forward Antonio DeLeon headed in the game-winning goal during the 92nd minute to propel the hosts Falcons past the Pioneers and into the regional semifinals for the second year in a row.

Jensen Beach trailed 2-1 at halftime and did not get the equalizer until the 77th minute. Senior forward Jaron Minsky stole the ball from a North Miami defender in the box and blasted in a shot from close range to help keep his team’s season alive.

Ian Tovar got the Falcons on the scoreboard in the first half while senior goalkeeper Juan Sarmiento entered a reserve and kept them in the game, finishing with seven saves.

Jensen Beach plays host to Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 7 p.m. Thursday.

No. 7 Dr. Joaquin Garcia (13-7-3) 1, No. 2 South Fork (22-1-2) 0: Undefeated through districts, South Fork’s magical 2025-26 campaign was suddenly derailed following a home loss to Dr. Joaquin Garcia. A first-half goal from Kevin Flores was the difference.

The home Bulldogs recorded seven shots on goal, each of which were stopped by Justin Deptola. Meanwhile, South Fork senior goalkeeper Yahir Fabian posted nine saves.
