Tiger Woods arrested for DUI after rollover crash in Florida. What we know

Golf great Tiger Woods, 50, was arrested after he was involved in a rollover car crash in Florida Friday, March 27.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened shortly after 2 p.m., near Woods’ home on Beach Road on Jupiter Island.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a truck pulling a pressure washer said he saw a Land Rover approaching from behind at a high rate of speed. The truck driver attempted to move toward the side of the road but his trailer was clipped by the Land Rover, driven by Woods.

Woods was reportedly able to climb out of the passenger window of the Land Rover. He was uninjured, according to authorities.

According to the sheriff’s office, investigators at the scene suspected Woods was impaired, not by alcohol, but by medication or drugs. He was arrested and taken to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, where he was administered an alcohol breath test, which was negative. Woods refused a urinalysis. He was charged with DUI and booked into the Martin County Jail.

Woods, who has been recovering from a 2025 Achilles injury, recently made his golf season debut at the TGL Finals in Los Angeles.

He sustained open fractures to the bones in his leg, along with foot and ankle injuries that required surgery and extensive rehabilitation.
