Charlie Axel Woods, son of golf legend Tiger Woods and former model Elin Nordegren, has aspirations of a pro golf career − like his famous father.
The young Woods is making a name for himself in the golf world − as a player and a mini Tiger Woods. Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods sometimes play golf tournaments together.
The soon-to-be junior at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens in Palm Beach County, Florida, spends a considerable amount of time playing golf for the Benjamin Buccaneers. And he’s had some headline-making moments, like his father:
Tiger Woods is constantly parenting and protecting his son, a rising junior on the Benjamin School golf team. The spotlight has been on Charlie Woods in recent years as he’s started playing in more public events whether in high school or junior golf.
And that means the burden of carrying one of the most famous last names in golf history.
“I was always reminding him, just be you,” Tiger Woods told the Palm Beach Post in a Dec. 20, 2024, sports column. “Charlie is Charlie. Yes, he’s my son. He’s going to have my last name and it’s going to be part of his core. But I just want him to be just himself and be his own person.
“In this day and age where everyone is basically media, with all the phones, being constantly filmed and constantly people watching, that’s just part of his generation. And that’s part of the world that he has to maneuver through.”
Charlie Woods is one of three famous Benjamin School students — currently. His sister Sam Alexis Woods graduates class of 2025. During her time at Benjamin, the athlete made headlines of her own playing soccer and running track for state-champion teams.
Kai Madison Trump, the eldest granddaughter of Tiger Woods’ friend, President Donald Trump, and the daughter of Tiger’s girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, also plays golf at the Benjamin School. The 18-year-old Kai Trump is a rising senior, class of 2026, and has committed to playing golf for the University of Miami in fall 2026 after high school graduation.
