The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Tallahassee man and charged him with possession of material involving child sexual abuse.
Devery Delon Holmes, 38, has been charged with 99 counts of aggravated possession of child pornography and one count of use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a CyberTip regarding the suspected upload of child sexual abuse material, or CSAM.
LCSO’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit identified Holmes as the person associated with the account under investigation.
During the investigation, detectives determined that Holmes’ cloud storage account contained 99 media files depicting child sexual abuse. Based on the evidence gathered, detectives obtained a search warrant for Holmes’ residence.
On June 5, members of the Leon County Sheriff’s HEAT Unit, with assistance from the Leon County Sheriff’s SWAT Team and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) executed a search warrant at Holmes’ home in Tallahassee.
“The Leon County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to identifying those who victimize children and ensuring they are held accountable,” Sheriff Walt McNeil said in a statement. “I commend our HEAT Unit detectives and our law enforcement partners for their dedication and professionalism throughout this investigation.”
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
