Summer break? Not for Bay District Schools construction. Check the project list

Here’s a look at some ongoing and upcoming capital projects at Bay District Schools. Take a look at what’s in design, what’s to come, and what’s almost finished. The information comes from a summary document that was part of the agenda for the July 8 Bay District Schools board meeting.

Gary Walsingham expansion

This project is currently in design and the funding will go through the design. Estimated time of completion is still to be decided.

Bay High Building 1 renovations

This $12.9 million project, funded by the half-cent sales tax, is underway with construction. April 2026 is the estimated completion date.

Deane Bozeman School classroom building and sitework

This project is currently in Phase 2, which is the athletic complex. The funding source for this phase is a loan. Work is estimated to be completed by this month.

Bozeman Safe Room & generator

This $14,455,364 project is funded by Local Capital Improvement funds. The project is under construction with an estimated completion of September 2026.

Lucille Moore campus-wide renovation

This project will have two phases. Phase 1 will cost $165,126 and Phase 2 will cost $12,995,028. The project will be funded by the half-cent sales tax and is estimated for completion by March 2026.

Mowat Cafeteria Admin/Classroom renovations project

This project is funded by both the half-cent sales tax and Local Capital Improvement funds. This project has multiple phases that are all in construction.

Mowat Middle School Band Room

This $1,470,100 project is funded by capital outlay and debt service/Local Capital Improvement loan. The time of completion is to be decided.

Mowat – New Cafeteria/Admin/Saferoom and Generator

This project is funded by capital outlay and debt service/Local Capital Improvement loan and FEMA reimbursement. The time of completion is still to be decided.

Nelson Building Envelope Phase 1

This project is funded by Local Capital Improvement funds and the time of completion is to be decided.

PE Pavilion Enclosures

This project is funded by Local Capital Improvement and has multiple phases:

Exterior Refresh Improvement

This project is funded by Local Capital Improvement funds and has multiple phases:

Rutherford Building 1 & 2 HVAC

This $2,809,8660 project is funded by Local Capital Improvement and is currently under construction. Time of completion is to be decided.

Tyndall Academy-Design Phase/Environmental Assessment

This $7,537,664 project is under design and being funded by the Hurricane Michael relief funds given to Bay District Schools. Time of completion is to be decided.

Rosenwald Classroom Wing

This $4,968,430 project is funded by Local Capital Improvement funds and is currently under construction. Time of completion is to be decided.

New Center School

This $83,000 project is funded by Local Capital Improvement funds and is currently in design. Time of completion is to be decided.

West Bay Gym

This project’s cost is to be decided, and it will be funded by Local Capital Improvement funds. Time of completion is to be decided.

Tommy Smith Gym Enclosure

This project’s cost is to be decided, and it will be funded by Local Capital Improvement. Time of completion is to be decided.
