Spirit offers 10% off flights to Final Four from 2 Florida airports

Getting fired up for March Madness? If you’re interested in getting courtside for the Final Four games, ultra-low-cost Spirit Airlines is offering a limited-time deal from two Florida airports.

Spirit is offering 10% off base fares from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) or Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Indianapolis International Airport (IND) for the 2026 Men’s NCAA Final Four week. The Final Four games will be Saturday, April 4, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

“Winners aren’t only made on the court, they’re also made flying the best value in the sky,” said Andrea Lusso, Vice President of Network Planning, in an email. “Spirit Guests can fly to the Final Four in style this year while enjoying an elevated experience at a great deal.”

The offer is available starting today, March 3, through March 4 at 11:59 p.m. for travel from April 1, 2026, through April 8, the carrier said. Both airports offer daily flights.

The 10% discount for the base fare only, other charges may apply.

How much are tickets to the Final Four?

As of March 3, tickets for the April 4 Final Four games run from about $360 to more than $4,100, according to Ticketmaster, depending on your seating and before other fees. Other VIP packages are also available through a variety of services.

The championship game will be on Monday, April 6, also at Lucas Oil Stadium. Those tickets are currently running from about $240 to nearly $5,000 at Ticketmaster.

Spirit adds spring break flights

The Dania Beach, Florida-based airline also announced that starting this month, it would be beefing up service from two South Florida airports to 15 cities around the country, Central and South America, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands, according to an email, for Floridians wishing to head out of the state for spring break.

Spirit will be increasing service from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to 13 destinations in the U.S. and Cancun, Guatemala City, San Juan, Santiago and Santo Domingo, beginning March 12. Spirit will also be increasing service from Miami (MIA) to Chicago (ORD) and Detroit (DTW) to twice daily, the email said. Tickets are available now on spirit.com.

Spirit fighting back from bankruptcies

Spirit Airlines struggled in 2025 to recover from a failed merger with JetBlue Airlines and two bankruptcies within 12 months. In September, Spirit dropped service to 12 airports as a cost-cutting measure and confirmed in November it would be stopping flights to four more in 2026.

Spirit has since settled a dispute over aircraft leases, received court approval to free up $425 million in financing, and reached an agreement with unions for pilots and flight attendants to commit to salary reductions. At the end of February, the airline announced it had reached an agreement for restructuring support with its debtors to ultimately reduce its debt and lease obligations by $5.3 billion.

Despite its issues, Spirit was named Best Airline for 2025 by WalletHub in April and USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers Choice Awards included Spirit in its Best Frequent Flier Program and Best Airline Credit Card rankings.

Which Spirit flights are increasing in Florida for Spring Break?

According to an email from a Spirit Airlines spokesperson, the increased services beginning on March 12 will be:
