The South Florida Bulls are going to the men’s NCAA tournament!
The Bulls were announced as the No. 11 seed in the East Region on March 15 and will take on No. 6 seed Louisville in Buffalo, New York, on March 19.
USF (25-8) was not only the American Conference regular season champ, but just won the conference tournament title on Sunday with a 70-55 win over Wichita State.
Louisville (23-10) finished sixth in the ACC and fell in the conference tournament quarterfinals. They are led by Ryan Conwell (18.7 points per game) and Mikel Brown Jr. (18.2), though the latter is dealing with a back injury.
And no sooner that the matchup was unveiled, the buzz for an upset already began. CBS analyst Bruce Pearl has picked the Bulls to top the Cardinals.
