The Florida Gators were embarrassed on their home field in college football’s Week 2, taking an 18-16 loss to the South Florida Bulls in a matchup they were negligently unprepared for.
The Orange and Blue had a few bright stars, specifically running back Jadan Baugh and wide receivers Eugene Wilson III and Vernell Brown III. However, DJ Lagway once again struggled and the defense simply allowed too much room underneath for the Bulls to work with.
That doesn’t even take into account the penalties and mental errors, especially the botched punt that resulted in a safety that marked the difference in the final score.
Predictably, the Gator Nation was not pleased with what it saw on Saturday night and took to social media to voice opinions. Here is what the team, its players and the fans had to offer.
