WABASSO — Wabasso School had its first prom with the theme of ‘Enchanted Garden’ on May 15, 2026, for their exceptional students in Indian River County.
Staff members organized the prom in celebration of the memorable school year. The school did not have a 2026 graduating class.
The special education center school has 65 students from kindergarten to age 22, and specializes in individualized care geared toward the success and empowerment of the students’ development.
According to Assistant Principal Angela Shoe on the school’s website, “we are a team of dedicated educators, therapists, and support staff working together to create a safe, nurturing environment where each child can grow, learn, and thrive.
“Whether your child is building independence, developing communication skills, or reaching new academic milestones, we are here to walk alongside them every step of the way.”
