How did Palm Beach County students do on this year’s statewide tests?
This is the third year students across Florida have taken the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) exams, which replaced the grade-level Florida Standards Assessments in 2023.
Over the past year, Palm Beach County students took the exams three times. The last test of the school year is the one that counts in the school and district scores.
The computer-based exams had 35 to 40 questions that included lessons from throughout the year, even those teachers had not yet covered. The questions got easier or harder based on how the students responded.
