A waterfront home in Harbor Acres on Sarasota Bay sold for $14,750,000 earlier this month.
Located at 1356 Harbor Drive, the home went under contract before hitting the market. It was sold by Kim Ogilvie and Lynn Morris of The Kim Ogilvie Group at Michael Saunders & Company. The buyers were also represented by the team, according to the press release.
The home comes with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and sits on 0.36 acres of land. The home also comes with a pool, hot tub, large backyard and patio area. Outdoors, the home is accompanied by a large summer kitchen with a gas grill and seating area with a fire pit. Beyond the back patio, there is a 60-by-7-foot boating dock on deep water, according to the press release.
The home has views of the Ringling Bridge, the downtown skyline and Bird Key, and has multiple terraces to enjoy those landmark Sarasota sights.
1356 Harbor Drive has its own gated driveway, prompting privacy and security. Lush landscaping adds to a private feel within the property. The home combines wood and marble to create a resort-style, tropical vibe that maintains the luxury its price tag demands.
‘Set the standard’: Harbor Acres luxury
Harbor Acres is an affluent waterfront neighborhood just south of downtown Sarasota. Downtown, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and Sarasota Memorial Hospital are all within walking distance of the area.
Michael Saunders, founder and CEO of Michael Saunders & Company, a Southwest Florida independent real estate company, noted the significance of the transaction.
“Harbor Acres continues to set the standard for the waterfront lifestyle in Sarasota,” Saunders said. “This sale reflects the strength of our luxury market and the trusted relationships our associates build with discerning buyers and sellers at every level.”
This property is just one of many recent listings in the luxury real estate market. At 3315 Bay Shore Road, a $22 million estate hit the market to kick off the year, followed by 7366 Point of Rocks Road, which hit the market at $26 million. Another $22 million home on Longboat Key was listed earlier this month.
