Downtown roundabout a waste of money
Is the city of Sarasota trying to find ways to waste money?
The recently installed roundabout at Ringling Boulevard and Pine Place is completely unnecessary!
I stood there on two recent days and counted the cars on Pine.
On one day, there were zero cars after 15 minutes.
On the other day, there were zero cars after 20 minutes.
How about addressing quality of life issues in Sarasota such as the unbearable noise of trucks, cars and motorcycles on our NASCAR-like streets – and the constant high-decibel leaf blowing seven days week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.?
We can do better.
