A recent Herald-Tribune front-page headline read: “Sarasota rent prices fall as apartment vacancies surge,” July 28).
This is absolutely not new news to many of us.
With all of these enormous high-end luxury apartments that have been recently built, I’ve often wondered this:
Where are all of these people who purchased them?
Why are more and more luxury apartments being permitted to be constructed in beautiful downtown Sarasota?
And why are our commissioners allowing such overdevelopment?
