Donald Trump won two more club championships recently, claiming his success in golf comes from “TALENT,” something he said, “I have … and they don’t.”
The U.S. president was honored at Trump National Bedminster in New Jersey in a video posted Aug. 2 which shows Trump receiving a trophy for winning the “super senior” and “senior division” after supposedly shooting a 70.
Trump, 80, then bragged about his victory on social media, attaching a video.
“The Winning Shot in the Bedminster Club Championship! Thank you very much to all of those who participated. I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things. It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
Trump, who has a reputation as a cheater on the golf course, now claims to have won at least 40 club championships.
As Trump was being handed the trophy, one fan could be heard saying on the video, “The president of the United States. The super senior and the senior, he won both. He won both. That’s amazing. Best president of my lifetime.”
Trump was asked about golf by members of the U.S. Military during a call while at Mar-a-Lago, his home in Palm Beach, last November.
The president boasted about his game.
“You know, club championships are our majors, you know that, most people can’t play in them, they won’t,” Trump said. “We’re talking about no strokes or anything else. So I’m a very low handicap, and I’ve won 38 of them legitimately, every one legitimately.”
“It has to be legitimate because you have a lot of people following you with club championships.”
In 2023, Trump claimed to have shot a 67 at Bedminster.
