Lawn, pool crews leave mess for others

We need to get the word out to pool and lawn services not to fill our canals and roads with leaves and tree debris.

We see many lawn services blowing leaves into our canal, and also pool services dumping pool debris.

This is not only illegal – it is detrimental.

The yard services are also blowing leaves and dirt onto the roads instead of bagging and removing them.

We have always corrected this on our property, but this is a countywide issue.

I’m hoping that you can help educate the services on this issue.

‘No Kings’ protests were energetic, enthusiastic

On No Kings Day – Saturday, March 28 – more than 2,000 enthusiastic local residents rallied at the corner of U.S. 41 and Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte.

It was energizing to be part of one of the largest single-day protests in U.S. history – and to join more than 8 million other Americans who are concerned about the direction of our country.

Their grievances are many and legitimate.

Constitutional norms are being broken routinely.

Court decisions are being ignored.

Ample evidence of bribery, corruption, illegal acts and other criminal activity abounds.

One of the signs at the No Kings protest read: “This sign isn’t big enough to list all the crimes.”

The same could be said about a letter to the editor.

Everyone will have the opportunity to protest at the ballot box this November.

Be ready!
