Jacksonville-based Restaurant & Hospitality Investment Group, with multiple chef-driven concepts ranging from fast-casual coffeehouses to upscale dining destinations, is helping define Northeast Florida’s food scene.
Led by veteran restaurateur Mark Janasik, founder and owner, the company has grown from a small Neptune Beach coffeehouse to 14 restaurants (so far) in 10 years and more are on the way, including new Italian concept The Rosetta Room.
RHIG brands are Alder & Oak, Blueberry Artisan Bakery & Cafe, Oaxaca Club, Southern Grounds & Co. and in the works, The Rosetta Room, a new Italian concept.
Here’s a look at RHIG’s restaurant portfolio.
Southern Grounds & Co.
RHIG’s first and largest brand, the fast-casual coffeehouse laid the foundation for the hospitality group. There are a total of 10 locations — six in Jacksonville, including two at Jacksonville International Airport; and one each in Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine and St. Petersburg.
Alder & Oak
Upscale dining concept Alder & Oak, an Aegean-inspired modern Mediterranean restaurant including Zorba’s rooftop lounge, is RHIG’s newest restaurant.
Blueberry Artisan Bakery & Cafe
The bakery began by providing its scratch-made baked goods to Southern Grounds & Co. As demand for its decadent desserts, breakfast pastries and sandwiches grew, it relocated, becoming a larger, standalone restaurant.
Oaxaca Club
Offering elevated Oaxacan cuisine and a Mezcal lounge, the unique restaurant is rooted in the authentic flavors, culture and hospitality of the region known as “the culinary capital of Mexico.”
The Rosetta Room
RHIG describes The Rosetta Room concept on its website as “part soulful culinary journey, part boutique restaurant.” It will be “a modern interpretation of rustic coastal Italian dishes.” No location or target opening date has been announced.
