An award-winning painter from Winter Park will be featured at the Fall Festival of the Arts – DeLand.
Featured Artist Robert Ross will create an artwork to be used on event posters and T-shirts, according to festival organizers. The piece will be unveiled at a public event at 5 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Athens Theatre in DeLand.
Ross says of himself, “I’m drawn to transitional spaces in landscapes and interiors, scenes of quiet stillness, and the mystery of the commonplace,” according to his website.
Fall Festival of the Arts – DeLand takes place Nov. 21, 22
The festival, which is run as a nonprofit, takes place Nov. 21 and 22 on Woodland Boulevard in downtown DeLand and will include over 150 artists and more, according to event organizers.
Ross’ paintings will be on display at the Museum of Art – DeLand from Aug. 29 through Oct. 18, with an opening reception on Aug. 28, according to his website.
