The Rocket Classic is going out with a bang! The final year of Detroit’s tournament on the PGA Tour has seen the 9-under 61 course record tied every round.
Peter Malnati and Cameron Young gave way to Rasmus Højgaard in Round 3. Young and Højgaard enter today’s final round tied for third, three shots behind leader Davis Riley, who used a round of 63 to vault up the leaderboard to 15 under par. The 29-year-old from Alabama hasn’t won on Tour since May 2024, and his only top-10 finish this year came in the season-opening Sony Open in Hawaii (T6).
Riley is joined in the final grouping (golfers will play threesomes to avoid thunderstorms in the morning forecast) by Michael Brennan, who comes in a stroke off the lead. Chris Kirk and Rickie Fowler, whose most recent victory came here in 2023, are tied with Young and Højgaard, while Si Woo Kim and Xander Schauffele sit among 10 others within five shots of Riley. With one more tournament left until the FedEx Cup playoffs, a last-day move up the leaderboard could extend a few seasons.

Rocket Classic schedule, how to watch
Round 4: Sunday, Aug. 2
Round 4 of the 2026 Rocket Classic will broadcast nationally on Golf Channel starting at 1 p.m. before switching to CBS at 3 p.m. Featured group and hole streaming from PGA Tour Live is available on the ESPN app (with a subscription to the Select plan) starting at 6:45 a.m.

AccuWeather predicts a high of 72 degrees with mostly cloudy skies in the forecast today in Detroit, Michigan. Winds are expected to blow out of the north-northeast at 10 mph with gusts up to 21 mph. There is a 90% chance of rain with about a 30% chance of thunderstorms in the morning.
Rocket Classic payout, prize money
The total purse for the 2026 Rocket Classic is $10 million, with the winner receiving $1.8 million.
