MARTIN COUNTY — A Port Salerno post office will close for just under a week for scheduled maintenance, a United States Postal Service spokesperson said in a Oct. 30 news release.
Citing what was said to be concerns for the “safety and well-being of all postal employees and customers” during the maintenance, the federal agency said it would stop all operations at the post office at 4755 SE Dixie Hwy. beginning Oct. 30 at 5 p.m. and reopen the location Nov. 3 at 6:30 a.m.
“Customers can be assured any mail received will be held and secured at the Port Salerno PO,” the USPS news release stated.
Post office boxes will be inaccessible throughout the closure. Retail services can be accessed at what the agency said was “the nearby locations” in Stuart at 801 SE Johnson Ave. and in Hobe Sound at 9995 SE Federal Hwy.
