The Right Book Club will host former White House press secretary Sean Spicer on May 19 at the Palm House hotel in Palm Beach for a discussion of his new book, “Trump 2.0: The Revolution That Will Permanently Transform America.”
The event, scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m., will feature Spicer speaking about the current political landscape, offering behind-the-scenes insights from his time in Washington, according to press materials. The evening will also include a Q&A session with attendee and a book signing.
A Naval officer, Spicer served as White House press secretary and communications director under President Donald Trump in 2017.
Spicer’s appearance is part of The Right Book Club’s monthly speaker series, which brings authors and political figures to Palm Beach for moderated conversations focusing on literature, civic engagement and conservative values, according to organizers.
Founder Brandy Rose Apostol said the club aims to encourage thoughtful discussion and build community among members and guests.
“The goal of Right Book Club is to promote informed discussion, intellectual curiosity and community among individuals who value conservative principles and a shared commitment to the country,” Apostol told the Daily News.
The club meets monthly in the grand ballroom at the Palm House and hosts featured authors. It has grown to include over 500 members and continues to expand, Apostol said.
The group has previously featured high-profile speakers, including Trump’s son Eric Trump, who appeared at the hotel in December for a discussion and signing of his book “Under Siege: My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation.”
That event drew more than 200 people and helped establish the tone for the club’s ongoing programming, according to organizers.
Apostol said she anticipates Spicer’s appearance to draw a strong turnout because of his book, which was released April 28.
Tickets for the general public are $49.87, including tax and fees, via eventbrite.com. Search “The Right Book Club Presents Sean Spicer.”
Rose said she expects approximately 100 to attend.
