No Kings protest doesn't deserve Herald-Tribune coverage | Letter

Once again, the Herald-Tribune has chosen gratuitously. to advertise, promote and facilitate a “No Kings” demonstration with headlines and specific directions on when and where to appear.

The Herald-Tribune has become an agent of one political party.

It is appalling to promote a protest against the commander in chief while American servicemen and servicewomen are engaged in war.

The war with Iran is not unprovoked.

Every president over the past 47 years has contemplated, prepared for and anticipated this war.

The No Kings demonstration will encourage and embolden Iran and demoralize our military.

As a veteran, I have seen this show before.

Our hospitals and homeless camps are filled with citizens who were betrayed and humiliated by their countrymen during the Vietnam War.

Let’s not have a repeat performance.

The Herald-Tribune has virtually destroyed its quest to become a more politically balanced media source.

I am not a Trump fan, but now may be our best opportunity to address Iran before it becomes too late to avoid a nuclear exchange.

Those who think you can negotiate with a fanatical theocracy need only to recall the World Trade Center attacks.

The Herald-Tribune would be better served to focus on factual, unbiased reporting and refrain from creating the news.
