A new Lucky Goat Coffee Co. cafe is opening this week.
Founded in Tallahassee in 2010, Lucky Goat Coffee began as a specialty roaster, providing wholesale coffee beans to local cafés.

Since then, Lucky Goat has expanded steadily across Florida, Georgia and Texas, building a following through its commitment to “craftsmanship, consistency and welcoming environments,” the company’s spokesperson said in their media release.
What can we expect there?
Along with a variety of coffee drinks, including classic espresso favorites, Lucky Goat has rotating seasonal favorites and nitro cold brew. They also serve pastries, chai and matcha teas.
The atmosphere is designed to be “a cozy, warm, and inviting local spot with free WiFi.”
Where and when can we visit?
The latest Lucky Goat location is opening its doors at 7033 Eastport Drive in Sumterville, in the The Villages community of Eastport, the newest of the Villages communities spanning Marion, Lake and Sumter counties.
The cafe will be located near Runabout Brewing and The Porch, adding to the culinary scene in the Eastport area.
Who are the humans behind Lucky Goat?
Company founders Kyle Macdonald, Nicole Dullum and Nicole Benton are the owners and manage the Lucky Goat location in Lady Lake.
What is their business culture like?
Lucky Goat Coffee operates through a mix of corporate and franchise locations and partners with local entrepreneurs.
“Each ownership group is carefully selected to ensure alignment with the brand’s values, quality standards, and customer experience,” the company’s literature says.
Shepherding community values and charitable giving
“Philanthropy is a core pillar of Lucky Goat Coffee’s mission,” the company says, adding that it is committed to giving back to the communities it serves through ongoing partnerships, donations and local engagement initiatives.
“Support is provided through both financial contributions and in-kind coffee donations, depending on the needs of each organization. From fueling community events to contributing directly to fundraising efforts, Lucky Goat aims to make a meaningful, hands-on impact. In addition, franchise locations regularly participate in local events, fundraisers, and grassroots initiatives, allowing each store to build authentic relationships and support causes that matter most to its community.”
