PANAMA CITY BEACH − A new Panera Bread has opened in Bay County.
According to a press release, the new chain opened on June 18 at 7 a.m. The store is at 11846 Panama City Beach Parkway.
During the opening the first 100 guests received free meals. The Panera Bread location has created 25-30 jobs.
From opening day through Sept. 18, local nonprofit organizations — including schools, sports teams and scout groups — can host fundraising events at the new Panera, per the release. During each event, Panera will donate 30% of net sales back to the participating organization.
“This location marries a smaller footprint than traditional bakery-cafes with updated ordering kiosks and a fully digitized menu,” the release says. “Designed with a limited dining area, the bakery-cafe is geared toward serving guests on the go.”
“We’re proud to bring the newest Panera to the Panama City Beach and excited to become an even larger part of this vibrant community,” Levi Brock, director of retail operations, said in the release. “We look forward to serving our guests with the delicious food and warm, welcoming service Panera is known for.”
