A medical assistant from Naples just joined the cast of dating TV show “Love Island USA.”
Sydney Eugene was one of six new women (aka “casa girls”) introduced on the Peacock show’s first “Casa Amor” episode of the season on Sunday, June 21.
Season eight’s “Casa Amor” episodes feature six new women (including Eugene) and 12 new men. The men are expected to debut on the Monday, June 22 episode.
Casa Amor: ‘Love Island USA’s’ dramatic twist
Casa Amor − Spanish for “love house” − is a dramatic twist that usually happens halfway through the season on “Love Island.” Its a long-standing tradition in the “Love Island” franchise.
For one week, all the couples are split up − with the “girls” and the “boys” in two separate villas.
Here’s the twist: the two groups are not alone in the villas. A group of new boy “bombshells” moves into the girls’ villa, while a group of new girl “bombshells” moves in with the boys.
Throughout that week, challenges are played, relationships are tested and new connections are formed.
At the end of Casa Amor, each islander has to decide whether they want to stay with their original couple or recouple with one of the new “bombshells.”

On the June 21 episode, the male islanders were sent to a separate Casa Amor villa while the women watched their reactions on a big‑screen TV.
The six new female “bombshell” contestants arrived at Casa Amor, each dressed in a themed costume and introduced with brief personal details. Eugene was dressed as a race-car driver.
