Oppose monster condos in Sarasota

Sarasota is looking more and more like the big cities on the East Coast.

The people of our little city have been fighting a proposal for a massive, tall and narrow condo that would be located next to a residential area.

The condo would look so out of proportion that it would be an eyesore.

Meanwhile, developers are in the process of getting approval to build a monster condo in our residential area on South Palm Avenue.

They would do so by using some way around the original designation for this area, which is a nice place to live.

The planned condo would be overpowering.

It is certainly not compatible with our neighborhood or, really, Sarasota as a whole.

Traffic conditions in Sarasota and Sarasota County are heavy already, and they will likely be ridiculous by the time all of the rest of the planned condos are finished.

How long can we allow this overbuilding to continue?

We need everyone in the city and county to join in halting further overdevelopment.

And let’s ask our snowbirds to join in as well.
