Riviera Beach police say a boy died on Nov. 1 after the minibike he was riding struck a car.
Investigators had not identified the boy as of Nov. 2.
The crash took place on the 600 block of West Blue Heron Boulevard, near City Hall, just before 3 p.m. Riviera Beach Fire Rescue took the boy to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where he died.
The city has investigating the traffic fatality, and no charges were pending as of Nov. 2 against the driver, who remained on the scene.
The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the minibike driver’s cause of death, a city police spokesperson said.
