The NCAA women’s tournament continues and, for the first time in 10 years, it will include Jacksonville University.
The Dolphins, the 15th seed in Sacramento Region 2, will take on LSU, the No. 2 seed, at 6 p.m. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Jacksonville (24-8) is led by Priscilla Williams, who averages a team-high 15.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 blocks. She had 16 points and 13 rebounds in the overtime win over Austin Peay in the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament final in Jacksonville.

LSU (27-5) is led by MiLaysha Fluwiley, who averages 14.6 points per game, and Flaujae Johnson, who scored 13.8 a contest. The Tigers reached the semifinals of the SEC tournament, arguably one of the toughest conferences in the nation.

The Dolphins’ only other NCAA women’s basketball appearance was in 2016. After winning the Atlantic Sun Conference that year, they played Aja Wilson and No. 1 seed South Carolina. The Gamecocks won, 77-41.
